自2017年元月1月11起 元門啟動*《街友普食》
規劃於每周五中午，定期配合台北市萬華區社會局(梧州街)，
舉辦寒士與街友普食，發送蔬食便當關懷活動。
活動立意:
根據一份報告指出，
「遊民發生的原因不一，
難以完全歸咎個人，
往往是個人與結構
互動下的產物。
不過，
社會福利體系越健全，
社會包容性越高的國家，
人民淪為遊民的機會越少。」
Yuanmen’s Bento Boxes for the Homeless program began on January 11, 2017. Every Friday at noon, we work with the Wanhua District Department of Social Affairs (on Wuzhou Street in Taipei City) in providing vegetarian bento boxes for the poor and homeless.
Reason for Event:
It has been reported that people become homeless for many different reasons, and the fault does not usually lie with just the individual alone; it is often a result of interaction between the individual and the social structure. However, Taiwan’s social welfare system is improving, and tolerance is increasing, which means people are becoming less apt to end up on the streets.
元門希望在這塊土地
盡一點點心力，
用一種伸出手的、
接納性的、實踐性的方式，
關懷社會各層面的弱勢......
人的一生中，難免有些辛苦的 “坎”，
當 “坎”夠大，有些人過不去時，
就變成排著隊，登記有照，領便當過日的街友。
我們與街友們，人生不必相識 ，
但在他們人生的 “坎” 中，
我們有能力的時候，
分享行有餘力一份蔬食便當，
讓他們飢餓時得以飽食，
儲備往前走的力量 。
Yuanmen looks to extend helping, accepting hands of action toward disadvantaged people of all types in Taiwan. No one is safe from the pitfalls of life, and when people stumble into pits that are too deep and can’t find a way out, they become homeless. One way they survive is by being registered as homeless and then receiving our bento boxes the next day at designated distribution centers. We may not know these people, but while they are struggling, we are giving them energy to move forward by providing them with our vegetarian bento boxes.
